the intense colours were created from a number of recycled formates - gold foil from high grade chocolate, inks from 'empty' printer cartridges.

I love this. Such a simple design, but the colors and foil you chose make it very eye-catching. I'm also pretty partial to cats!

thanks i liked the fact that most of the material used were recycled or safed from being wasted. The intensity of the inks is one of the exciting part as they were extracted from an 'empty' cartridge. The design itself came from a piece of old furniture i kept looking at it and wondering what it was i saw and then realised it was a cat.

I too am very partial to cats unfortunately i am as allergic to them (in an asthmay way)

i enjoy taking things apart and making them into something new, finding things which seem beyond their use and finding a new role for them. You get some strangly attractive results from the process.

Also i'm a bit of an eco-consious person recyling, cloth nappies for smally smalls, ethical buying were possible. I really want solar panels for the house but don't know if the roof will hold and whether i could afford it

I don't know how I missed this the first time through your gallery, but I love it! Klimt is one of my all-time favorite artists! You've captured the essence of his style very well. And kudos for doing it by recycling! :+fav:

Kilmpt is amazing i love his use of colour

recycling is a bit of an obsession of mine art wise - i think it stems from viewing things from their potential to be something else not just what they are
